Panel Data | Random Effects : re command not allowed

Hi there,

I am working with panel data, and tried to run a regression using Random Effects, however Stata (version 14.1) sent me the following error: option re not allowed.

My regression command looks similar to the following:

regress roe size gearing liquidity age eocidental Year17 Year16 Year15 Year14 Year13 Year12 Year11 Year10 Year9 Year8 if roe < 2*sdroe & roe > 2*-sdroe, re

where Year* is a set of dummy variables.

Could you help me please?

The command you want is xtreg, not regress.
